My husband and I paid down our credit cards years ago. So it came as quite a shock when we went to buy a house and the mortgage broker told us we would get a better response if we had more revolving credit. I use mint (dot com) for tracking my expenses and they look at everything you do and then tell you what the best credit card is. It is also free. I looked at quickbooks online and I think mint is a little better.
